We play how we practice.
What I am today is deeply linked with the way I grew up. Our schools and our homes are the first places that prepare us for the real life challenges. I would not call myself successful-there is still a long way to go but I am certainly grateful to establish a game changing architecture practice and being one of the youngest faculty at the prestigious Indus Valley School.
At the DHA Model High School - Phase 7, I received opportunities to build up my confidence and channel my creativity in many ways. I remember being a shy girl sitting near the window, almost being non-existent in the classroom to graduating from school with the honor of serving as the head girl and representing the school at multiple forums.
I try to connect the dots and see the line of events that shaped my personality. It all started with my 4th grade teacher praising me on how well I read the poem. That praise did wonders for me. All of a sudden I felt like I could stand in front of a bunch of people and speak. There was no looking back, I participated in declamation and debates. In competitions within school and on multiple national level forums. I, along with a group of classmates got the privilege to represent the school at the Governor House. I developed the passion to express myself with confidence, to set the bar high and to achieve things with discipline.
I will always be thankful to the strong foundation my school provided me. The exposure that shaped my perspective in looking at things and the amazing life long friends I made to move along in my journey.
